Minister O'Brien Visits Dublin Control Centre Operations

AirNav Ireland was honoured to welcome Minister Darragh O'Brien, Minister for Transport, to the Dublin Air Traffic Control Tower on Friday, 11th July.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the critical role of AirNav Ireland in managing Ireland’s airspace safely, securely, and efficiently, particularly during a period of record traffic volumes.

During his visit, Minister O'Brien toured the Control Tower and Centre, engaging directly with frontline staff and management. He was also briefed on AirNav Ireland’s strong safety record, innovation agenda, and sustainability initiatives, including energy-efficient systems and next-generation air traffic management technologies.

Speaking at the event, Minister O'Brien said:
“AirNav Ireland plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and resilience of our national aviation infrastructure. I was deeply impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the team here in Dublin. Their work not only supports the travelling public but also contributes to Ireland’s climate and transport goals through innovation and sustainability.”
