ATSEP Programme

ATSEP Programme

On completion of training and satisfactory assessment, our Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEPs) are responsible for the operational reliability, serviceability and accuracy of the air navigation systems (ANS) used by air traffic control, and are ultimately responsible for the safety and regularity of air traffic.

AirNav Ireland recruits ATSEPs from a wide variety of background, primarily but not limited to those with computing, networking and systems engineering skills. We provide a comprehensive training programme commencing with initial training on the concepts and principles of air navigation systems. This progresses through to detailed training on the wide variety of systems and equipment providing our services. These include navigational systems, radio communications systems, flight data processing systems, networking systems, surveillance systems including radars, and electrical power distribution systems.

Upon successful completion of training, our ATSEPs will be based at any of our operational locations in Dublin, Cork and Shannon and are assigned to these based on requirements at the time.
