Main Duties & Responsibilities

Main Duties &

Responsibilities 

  • Liaison between airspace users and oceanic air traffic control centres.
  • Provide joint aeronautical communications with NARTEL stations.
  • Tasks related to Search & Rescue (SAR) operations.
  • Tasks related to the Aireon ALERT Service.
  • Cooperation with radio network centres, airline operators and the offices of MET, AIS and other such agencies.
  • Operation of computer based flight data processing systems.
  • Operation of computer based message switching system for the exchange of internal flight data.
  • Supervision of automated broadcast system for the dissemination of weather information to aircraft in flight.
  • Other duties as may be assigned, where appropriate.
