This is an exciting opportunity to join AirNav Ireland's newly established Digital Transformation Office (DTO).
The AI and Data Analytics Specialist will deliver advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to optimise and elevate the performance of business Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Systems/Infrastructure. This role involves utilising Microsoft technologies such as Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AI models, data analysis workflows, and automation solutions to enhance business processes and support informed decision-making.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate AI solutions with existing Microsoft technologies, including Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics.
- Create and automate data-driven workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Develop, implement, and maintain AI and machine learning models to support business objectives.
- Monitor and analyse AI system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Build relationships and develop a deep understanding of unit business processes to digitise, automate, and transform workflows or practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure AI solutions are effectively integrated into ICT systems.
- Conduct regular AI ethical assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide incident response and mitigation controls for AI-related issues.
- Identify and evaluate new and emerging AI technologies and tools.
- Provide guidance and support for AI-related projects and initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with AI standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that the AI Information Security Policy is current and complies with all ICT standards and best practices.
- Manage and track AI-related projects, tasks, compliance KPIs, and documentation.
- Develop advanced analytics and AI algorithms to analyse structured and unstructured data.
- Participate in an on-call arrangement and provide weekend cover, should the need arise.
- Lead transformation and digitisation initiatives to enhance business processes and customer engagement.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers to understand their needs and provide AI solutions that meet their requirements.
- Ensure strong adherence to the NIS 2 standards in all AI-related activities.
- Interface with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into data analytics and AI solutions.
- Develop high-quality technical documentation and provide training to end-users.

PERSON SPECIFICATON
Education, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Advanced degree in computer science, AI, a related field, or relevant industry experience and training.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft AI platforms such as Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dynamics.
- Familiarity with common AI programming products.
- Experience with Power Automate and Power BI.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 suite of applications: Word,
- Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience of using Azure Identity, Azure AI and Azure AI tools
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, and Java.
- Experience with AI platforms and tools, including Microsoft AI technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with data analytics and data visualisation tools: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure machine Learning and Fabric.
- Knowledge of AI ethics and compliance standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in leading transformation and digitisation projects.
- Familiarity with NIS, NIST, ISO, EU AI Act (2025) and relevant and applicable AI security and compliance standards.
