AirNav Ireland is responsible for providing air traffic management and related services in the 451,000km2 of airspace controlled by Ireland.   This airspace forms a crucial gateway for air traffic between Europe and North America. 

We are currently seeking to recruit experienced Air Traffic Controllers to work at our Shannon Tower Terminal Service Unit.   This is a unique opportunity to join one of Ireland’s leading Semi-State Commercial Companies.

Job Purpose

Air Traffic Controllers are responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic on and in the vicinity of airports and in the airspace for which Ireland is responsible.

Relationships

Internal: All personnel and Directorates in the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP).

External: Relevant external bodies, providers, suppliers, and companies.

Skills Required

Applicants must hold:

  • A valid Air Traffic Controller licence issued in accordance with European Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340 or in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 805/2011 or in accordance with Directive 2006/23/EC containing an:

          - Aerodrome Control Instrument (ADI) rating with a minimum of 3 years’ experience exercising this rating AND/OR

         - Approach Control Surveillance (APS) rating with a minimum of 3 years’ experience exercising this rating AND

  • Hold a valid English Language Proficiency Certificate of at least operational Level 4 or higher.
  • Hold, or obtain, a Class 3 medical certificate.

Please note that successful applicants may be required, in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340, to successfully complete an assessment of previous competence prior to taking up position.
