GEN 1.2 Entry, Transit and Departure of Aircraft

All flights to/from airports of Ireland, or overflying Irish territory, are not allowed if aircraft are operated by Belarussian air carriers and/or registered in Belarus except for aircraft in emergency or humanitarian flights.

Ukranian crisis: Airspace restriction issued by the Irish Department of Transport. All aircraft owned, chartered or operated or otherwise controlled by citizens of the Russian Federation and all operators holding air operator certificate (AOC) issued by the Russian Federation authorities are prohibited to enter, exit or overfly Irish airspace except humanitarian, SAR and leased aircraft one-way return flights with the permission of the appropriate Irish authorities and in case of emergency landing or emergency overflight. Operations in Minsk FIR (UMMV) the Irish Aviation Authority hereby directs that Irish carriers and Captains of aircraft in charge of air services managed by carriers/holders of an operating licence issued by Ireland, whether they are contractual carriers and/or de facto carriers, or performing air services with a commercial charter agreemet or with a code sharing agreement and to all flights performed with an Irish aircraft registration, shall avoid Minsk FIR (UMMV). Military invasion of Ukraine by Russian Federation. Irish air operators and owners of aircraft, registered in Ireland shall not enter UIR KYIV (UKBU), FIR LVIV (UKLV), FIR KYIV (UKVB), FIR Dnipropetrovsk (UKDV), FIR Simferopol (UKFV), FIR Odesa (UKOV), FIR Rostov-na-Donu (URRV).

Irish operators and aircraft owners shall also avoid flight operations within the buffer zone extending out to 200nm along the Ukraine/Russia border. Operations within the FIR Chisinau (LUUU) airspace shall only be undertaken in compliance with applicable aeronautical publications issued by republic of Moldova.
