Job Title: Malin Radar Site Services Attendant
Location: Malin Radar, Crockalough, Malin, Co. Donegal.
Employment Type: Part Time (20 hours per week)
Job Purpose:
The role of the Malin Radar site services attendant is to support the Malin radar site by providing on-site support to the Technical Services Engineers, Facilities Management and Security staff. Also facilitating access to Malin site when required by Irish Coastguard, Garda, Fire Services, Malin site commercial tenants and contractors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical services:
- Support Technical Services Engineers when they are on site when requested for installations, inspections or system restorations.
- Regular radar building walkthroughs, report any audible system alerts or mains power failures the Ballycasey Technical Control Desk, TCD.
- Regular site walkthroughs to ensure that the compound, access roads, site, buildings and facilities are in appropriate condition and report any defects to the Ballycasey Technical Control Desk, TCD.
- Reporting of any Health & Safety, Welfare, Cleaning or Maintenance/Repair concerns without delay to the TCD.
- Maintain a register of third party (licence holder) equipment, information and contact details as required.
- Access for and supervision of visitors/contractors to site; ensuring a clear awareness of the visitor/contractor activities through the host before any contract works commence onsite.
- Registering (sign in & sign out) of all visitors/contractors onsite and reporting any negative visitor/contractor activity which could cause disruption, injury or damage.
- Ensuring that visitors/contractors are never left unattended whilst onsite (Caretaker, FM Operative or Engineering personnel should be in place for supervision where appropriate)
- Engaging local contractors for the purpose of the provision of quotes where required/requested.
- Facilitation of site and building surveys and inspections as required.
- Provision of site/land information; based on local knowledge as required.
- Facilitation and support with site audits and assistance with follow up of actions to close out recommendations and findings where applicable.
- Attend any appropriate (i.e. Health and Safety) training provided by IAA as and when required.
- Manage, safeguard and control the provision of keys for the site, only distribute if approved by Domain Manager Surveillance M&E systems.
- Report any faults which relate to physical security controls such as, CCTV, gates, fences, doors, vehicle barrier systems, beams, key boxes, key safes, computers (hardware and software) which support any of these security controls. Reporting to be submitted to TCD at Ballycasey and Security at Ballycasey.
- Report any suspicious activity at site to TCD and Security at Ballycasey. This includes contractors attending other sites adjacent and excavating near IAA sites
- Maintain and retain a list of emergency telephone numbers which are deemed relevant to the site i.e. AirNav Security, Facilities management, AirNav Personnel, Management and emergency services.
- Report any faults or activations of alarm systems which include intruder, panic, fire or any other alarm which may be in situ at the site. Reporting to be submitted to TCD and Security at Ballycasey.
- Ensure personnel who are attending site are authorised to be on site and pre-announced, unannounced contractors and or visitors should be reported to TCD and security at Ballycasey.
- Adhering to the company’s safety and security policies to create a safe and secure working environment for everyone
- Provide emergency services with assistance if possible and communicate such events to TCD and security at Ballycasey
- Alarm Activations at Remote Sites:
- In the event of alarm activations or suspicious activity at remote sites the Security Personnel shall advise the Station Manager, TCD and/or caretaker as appropriate to verify whether staff, contractors or visitors are at the relevant site.
- During normal working days/hours the services attendant may be requested to provide access to vehicular gates (road gates and not site compound gates where applicable, e.g. Malin road access gate) to facilitate security mobile patrols driving up to remote sites and assess for any security risk
- Where a security breach has been determined the caretaker may be required to provide site access to An Garda Síochána for investigatory purposes during and out of normal working days/hours
- During an increased security threat level or where a breach of security has resulted in damage to the site the services attendant should:
- Increase the inspection frequency of the site or, where deemed appropriate, maintain a full-time presence at the site until the appropriate level of security is in place, inclusive of same being manned by security personnel, security mobile patrols, where agreed).
- Liaise daily or at regular agreed intervals to the TCD and Security in Ballycasey and provide a daily status report

Relationships
Internal: In addition to direct reporting relationship above the postholder is required to liaise with all personnel and Directorates in the Company in particular with. Domain Manager Surveillance M&E, Property and Security Management and the Human Resource Directorate
External: The postholder is required to liaise with all appropriate external bodies, providers, suppliers, and companies.

Education, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Must have a high level of integrity, be reliable, trustworthy, discrete, flexible and professional
- Health & Safety qualification/experience.
